A baby girl was born on January 18, 1986 11pm. Carmen wasn't sure if she's feeling happy or unfortunate. She never wanted this baby, almost aborted her when she was smaller. The baby was not conceived out of love, it wasn't a one night stand either.
The man she had an affair with was married. He threatened her with his gun unless she gives herself completely to him. Carmen met him in Manila when she was working as a house help, and this man who was her daughter's father was a carpenter building a house in the neighborhood. It went well first. Carmen knew this infidelity won't end well. It was always a bad luck to have an affair with a married man. That's what everybody in her hometown believes in. Maybe that belief won't work here in Manila, she thought wrong.
